Rather than demolishing the existing building, the inside was gutted out to make way for a central service and circulation “torso” around which the wellness journey revolves, from massage rooms to heat therapy and Finnish saunas. Two oversized oblique windows, one vertical and one horizontal, are cut-out of the gable-like volume, to create dramatic overviews of the cascading landscape.
