Social distancing & Contagion Confinement: an Emerging Field of Study
On June 2nd 2020, Michel Lauzon will give a remote video-conference at the Cercle des Présidents Marketing, a gathering of Quebec business leaders, on the subject of How to manage a safe and efficient Re-entry in the Workplace. He will be speaking with Marc-André Labelle, Principal, Property Group of the multinational Rio Tinto. They will present their work on the North American offices, including the #Montreal location of 6 floors at Deloitte Tower. The goal was to improve contagion confinement and mitigate risks to ensure a safe re-entry into the workplace.
Very early on, Rio Tinto has been proactive and keen on finding solutions to safeguard the health and well-being of its workforce.
The conference will be sensitize business leaders to the multiple aspects to be considered to achieve a successful re-entry of their employees by sharing key insights and findings. The belief is that a well-managed project will not only ensure the well-being of the workforce but also counter fear, foster goodwill and enhance brand trust, a key currency in wake of the current COVID-19 crisis.

The conference will be based on the Rio Tinto case study as well as key findings and insights from LAAB's research into emerging best practices here and abroad. Since March, LAAB collective has been working tirelessly with tenants to render their spaces risk-free for their workforce. Based on this work and its own research, LAAB has constituted a comprehensive "Field Guide to Emerging Best Pratices in Contagion Confinement in the Workplace" addressing specifically issues for tenants and landlords.
